The other regional organization that I have been a member of for 14 years now is
also raising their fees from 30$ to 40$ for an individual and 1 horse. What's
annoying about all this is that the services provided by these organizations seem to
be decreasing rather than increasing- it seems that the number of committees is
proportional to the cost of overhead and the lack of benefits for the
average individual member.
I may not be renewing/joining any regional group next year, just the local snow
machine club as that's the only group that seems to be able to have a positive
impact on the trails that I train on. Now if I can just get them to put on a
ride....
finding that bigger is not always better in trail organizations...
