Here in Belgium the situation is the following :
The governing body is the 'F.R.B.S.E.', in french 'Federation Royale Belge
des Sports Equestres' wich governs every
organisation of endurance rides, from smallest (24KM) up to international
events.
The main organisators in endurance (but referring to FRBSE as far as
championships or qualification criteria are concerned) are (having each
roughly 50 % of the endurance riders) :
. BEEL : Belgian Equestrian Endurance League
. BLDR : Belgian Long Distance Riding.
So you see that for such a small country we can't even arrange to have ony
ONE organisation...
Main international events are :
L' Ardennaise (160Km) in the region of SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS (you know the F1
Grand Prix...)
L'Eau d'Heure (200 KM in 2 days)
Redu (90 KM)
Turnhout (100KM)
Spa (160 KM in 2 days)
Belgium has a long endurance history. There are a lot of local endurance
rides, one per week from april to october, mainly with 3 classes :
Initiation (1x of max 30KM), Qualification (2x of max 30KM), Classe 1 (2x of
max 40KM).
