Just a letter

Hi.

I have posted a few thing here in the recent past, and have been avdily
reading all the news that goes by. I have some comments that have been
hanging heavily on my heart that I would like to share with you.

I understand how excited most people are about the internet and the
availability of information, the ability to interact with other people and to
toss ideas around. But please let us not forget that for the moment, the
internet is a very elite medium: Available only to those with the knowledge,
the funds and the inclination to get online.

Those members of our national and international horse groups, i.e. AERC, FEI,
the ECTRAS, etc. have a responsibilty **only** to get their information from
the printed sources that come with the memberships that they pay for
annually. Members of those groups have no responsibility to acquire the
information that is here on this homepage, or wandering around other regions
of the internet. Until it is printed in the newsletters, it is seen only by
us, and we are a vary small group.

Please, let it become our responsibility to disperse the info we get here to
those not as *fortunate* as we. I hope to hear as many conversations between
internet people and non internet people at the rides that I go to, as I read
interactions here. I am afraid that we are going to start making decisions
and then start them into action as a small group, before remembering that we
represent only a small part of a much bigger group.

I hope that this makes sense. It is just an observation, and is meant to
point fingers at no one. It is something that I am seeing all over as a
result of the emergence of this medium, and I felt that it was time to post
this.

Thanks
for your time,
