Yes, I rode the Fireworks 50 and yes, I too got lost. When
I got home I dug up an old map of the State park and it
appears they changed the trail but forgot to tell anyone.
At the point where Rincon trail meets Ridge trail, the map
and the description say to continue on Rincon (the trail
that had the white tape across it) but the trail was
ribboned to go onto Ridge. Good thing there were no
spotters.
I wish I had known about the "@" sign. It would have been
fun to meet other netters. Maybe at Swanton?
