Joe, what a "refreshing" approach to a problem that effects all performance areas
of horses. By that, I mean horse racing, as in track, endurance, competitive trail, and
three day eventing. I also mean show horses, dressage, and jumpers. I am in the
"nutrition" end of the "business". I believe that the proper ratios of minerals, trace
minerals (electolytes), fiber, fat and protein are what is important. It is my opinion that
if you want the best in technology in nutrition, the folks at Kentucky Equine Research
in Versailles, Kentucky are very well qualified to answer the "questions". They are
totally focused on "optimal" performance. In my opinion, if you have the diet correct
(including Flex Free and MSM, for problems), the conditioning correct, the genetics
correct (Arabian and Arab crosses), and the environment correct you should have a
solid performer. If anyone wants to know more, let me know. Susie Hayes may have
some comments on LMF Endurance-Ener-G. She has been using it. I would be very
happy to add value to the feeding "piece" with the help of KER. and LMF Feeds.
It's nice to see that "drug free" and "enhancment free" (or" Natural" for show horses)
are still wothwhile goals. Top quality diets, conditioning, and good old "elbow grease"
make the best looking horses. Best regards, Al R.
