This is an example only - not from an actual card
100 point total
20 pts - recover rates at vet checks along the ride.
Include the difference between in time and recover time
Include the recover rate
Include the CRI if done
20 pts - Lameness if any, more than a grade 1 is disqualification
Willingness to go forward
General attitude
20 pts - Difference between in time and recover time.
Final recovery rate.
CRI
20 pts - Final Guts, hydration, etc. All the other criteria on the card.
20 pts - Rider's weight as a percent of the heaviest rider
Tie breaker - time as a percent of the fastest time, or the first in
wins.
You could also give 100 points and deduct 5 points for every B and
10 points for every C.
I asked a vet if it would be better to get the first P&R that was
at criteria or wait a couple of minutes to get a lower one. She
said that the time to get to criteria was more important than the
actual rate.
