Stacy, a hernia or some other sort of back/hind end problem sounds more
reasonable than rubbing testicles...are you sure your saddle fits okay?
If he's stretching like that, I'd even check as far up as his
wither/shoulder area - back end problems can really have unusual origins.
Do you know how to palpate the back/kidney area? That might give you some
idea of where the general area is - are you familiar with Linda
Tellington Jones and some of her stretches/manipulations?? She's got some
great things to say about soreness and how to correct it. Hope this helps.
