I like the button with the address on it! Great Idea. I think I'll get my
own horse crayon and give Shatirr an "@" myself.
How much are these buttons running? I'd be willing to "buy" buttons and
re-sell them.
I think it would be a good idea to have a one page blurb (technical marketing
term) on the news group and WEB page that we can distribute, and consider
including the numbers for some of the more popular on-line companies (AOL,
Compuserve, etc). Some of our mounted comrades are well equiped computer
users, but are Internet-illiterate.
We can ask the trail-tack vendors if they can distribute the flyers
for us. The Jeffers at Pony Express are very good at helping this way.
Maybe we can put flyers out at the ride management tables also.
Let me know if you need help getting the party going; I volunteer to help
out! We may end up needing a good sized room to hold the folks that aren't
on-line but are interested. Should we ask if AERC would consider scheduling
us for a presentation slot about endurance online? Maybe a panel with a
Q&A period afterwards? That way we could have our predictably sized family
get together and still reach out and touch the legions of interested folks.
I think it would fly, particularly if it was promoted correctly. A lot of
people that I know are interested, but not yet committed. It would be neat
if we could get a computer in the vendor area and have the WEB page up too!
Yeah, I know, my type-A marketing personna is crawling out of the woodwork.
I'll stuff it back in the dusty closet now!! ;^)
