     Hi Everyone!

I got quite a bit of feedback on our ideas to help identify each other
at rides and such. I like the idea of having an @ sign put on the
rump of the horse, but I would hate to confuse the poor number-takers
at the rides. And sorry, I am not quite ready to paint an @ sign on
my forehead with lipstick! I don't think my wife even owns any. Tee
shirts would be cool, but not real practical. (expensive, and just
look at the condition of your shirt after your next ride!) And to the
person who suggested we tie a helium balloon with the @ on it to our
saddles during the ride: Yeah - Right!

A lot of people like the idea of the small 1 and a half to 2 inch
white pin with a big black @ on it. One other suggestion is to put
our mailing address on it as well. I made up a little pattern that
looks good- it has a big symbol on it, and says in tiny letters:
     (under the symbol)

A lot of people have agreed to help distribute them to other list
people, and if we play our cards right, we can use them to expand the
group even more. I checked with a trophy shop, and can have them made
in about three weeks. I will go ahead and order up a first batch, and
just pay for them myself. (big deal- It costs me $50 to fill up my
truck with gas!) If you want one, (or more) I can distribute them by
asking for everyone to send me a SASE (self addressed stamped
envelope). That way I don't have to pay for the postage. (more than
     the cost of the button!)

I also think it would be a great idea to have a get together at the
Endurance Convention in Reno. I will volunteer to contact the hotel
and see if I can reserve a room for a small party on say, Saturday
night? Maybe 7:00 pm? I will make sure it does not conflict with any
of the ride seminars and such. maybe a lunch get together? Does
anyone have any other suggestions? Are any of you east coast folks
planning on coming? Steph- are you planning on having an Internet
booth at the trade show? It would be really cool to have a PC set
up running the home page at the show.

If you want a pin, send me a SASE at:

I wont be able to order them till after ROC, so it should be a few
     weeks.
