I need to understand the purpose of these applications a little
better:
The ice boots *reduce* and/or *prevent* inflamation by lowering the
temperature of the tissues and reducing the blood flow - correct?
Something you can't do for very long periods of time..
The wraps *prevent* swelling and edema by acting as a physical
barrier - applying pressure to the area to discourage fluid
buildup. Once swelling or edema has occurred, wraps are more
harm then good - correct? I have seen people leave wraps on
for 12-18 hours.
.. I may be beating this subject to death here, but it is
something I too have wondered much about.
