Back when hand held heart monitors were starting to be used for in pulse boxes - there was all sorts of issues with interference. Some rides where these devices are used will require you to remove your transmitter prior to entering the pulse check area. At some rides if you have one on they will just monitor your transmitter. I would expect the monitors with a longer range would cause more issues.
