constantly being naughty at ride starts, he'd buck and fight for miles even when
started with a buddy from home. I suggested we walk the opposite direction as
the ride started, not even let his horse see the starters, then walk quietly and
begin the ride. It worked perfectly, the horse acted like we were on a relaxing
trail ride instead of an endurance ride and we completed mid-pack.
