I've been told several times, not
particularly politely, that I'm an idiot if I don't use an equine heart
monitor.
I see that civility and polite human behavior has gone out of our
public discourse even over if we decide to use a HRM. The only response
is "it's not of your (f******) business - the word in quotes is
optional based on how emphatic you want to be.
The comment made to you is absolutely out of line. The idiot that made
it should be called on it.

PS: Except for gaining knowledge of a new horse I find a HRM more
distracting and informing.
