RE: [RC] Aussie young rider looking for rides/housing - Ranelle Rubin
Jay,
Have her email me. I have a guest room, and live an hour from the start of Tevis. I may be riding Tevis..not sure, but have two nice Arabs..she can see the start/ride the first 20 miles or so...for a scenic training ride..
I do work FT, so transportation will be an issue we would need to work out.

Hi All
My top young rider, Tarni Kittel (age 17), has been invited to ride in the Nations Cup in Brazil in June, and would like to make that her first stop on a round-the-world horse riding/working journey.
Her plans are to leave Australia mid-May, headed for Sao Paulo, where she will be put up for about 8 weeks or so, and then to head for California (possibly the Tevis?), then Kentucky (where I'll meet up with her for WEG), then it's off to France (hopefully), then the UAE prior to returning home in March/April next year.
Oh to be young again! I'm really quite envious!
Anyway, I'm wondering if there would be anyone willing to put her up for a few weeks or so along the way? She is quite useful, and has been riding endurance for 4 years, with excellent results. Tarni also has completed an equine massage course, and regularly massages my horses, as well as learning how to break-in youngsters (she's up to her 4th one here). She would hopefully be looking for food and accommodation, with maybe a small amount of pocket money along the way. Tarni is a very mature young lady with a great outlook on life, and she is a reliable and willing worker.
Her itinerary is as follows (approximate, dates and places subject to change depending upon where she is invited!):
18 May Brisbane - Sao Paulo 14 July Sao Paulo - LAX/SFO 8 Sep West Coast - Kentucky (WEG) 14 Oct East Coast - UK/France/? 30 Dec France - UAE 30 Mar UAE - Brisbane
Tarni doesn't necessarily need to be with endurance people along the way, as she is also interested to experience other disciplines if available, however her first love is certainly endurance. She is also very keen to participate in any CEI** 120km rides along the way if possible, because when she returns home to Australia she will be trying to qualify for the Australian Team for the 2011 World Youth Championships.
If you are interested to find out more about Tarni and her proposed plans, please let me know. Any assistance in allowing her to achieve her goals for this trip would be gratefully accepted.
Of course, 'exchange' rides here in Australia would be offered to anyone who might be able to give Tarni rides internationally.
