I guess to keep them from rubbing on it, or reaching through to get the "greener" grass on the other side of the fence, or to keep horses apart in ajacent paddocks.

Renie, do you understand why it would be necessary to electrify an unbreakable, round rail that doesn't hurt a horse that impacts it?

I saw this fence product at the Red Bluff Bull and Gelding sale last week.  Very intriguing an looks like it would be very safe compared to some other types of fencing.  renie burnett
