[RC] Never did I think my innocent question about beet pulp pellets - Sheila_Larsen
would start quite the conversation, but hey I shoulda known it is Ridecamp
after all. Actually I have found most of it pretty interesting. But now
from my experience this is what I have learned. One scoop of beet pulp
pellets is waaaaaayyyyy more than one scoop of shreds. It would have been
helpful if my tractor had been working to drag the one scoop of soaked
pellets into the stall otherwise I wouldn't have thrown my back out
lifting the bucket (just kidding - almost). If you want to soften the
pellets, it takes waaaaaaayyyyy more time than 30 minutes with cold water
to soften them. 30 minutes doesn't make a dent in my pellets, they are
like rock. I soak them because they really are unbelievably hard. I
"think" my horse prefers shreds to pellets. I like the lack of dust. I
don't like having to take the time to pour water on them in the morning, it
takes two more minutes in the morning than I have LOLOL.
Again, thank you all for the interesting information/conversations and
advice that I have been given.
O, for a morning in May... filled with the beauty of horses, soft with
light of heaven. – Author unknown
