 cya,
Howard (I'm gonna reread my copy of "Cold Mountain" while staying at
Leatherwood, after ya'll leave. I just love the way Charles Frazier describes
those mountains in NC)

And Howard, don't know if you knew this, the confederate soldier in "Cold
Mountain" walked right through here "Leatherwood Mountain" into Happy Valley
which is the next valley over from Leatherwood. I believe Happy Valley is
mentioned in this book. Also the Daniel Boone trail which is part of the ride
course is the actual trail that Boone used on his way to the Cumberland Gap.
Also there are still some moonshine steels up here in these mountains. Don't
know if they brew any beer though. Looking forward to seeing ya.
Phil
