Lanora,

I agree with Jeri's advice that you try to feed the horses seperately, but the other thing that worries me is the lack of grazing. Can you get your hands on two or three round bales of hay to put in the paddock, which you can space apart, so that the horses can graze all day. Your paddock is simply too small to sustain two horses on "flakes of hay" chucked over the fence.
