I think I will try one of the new trailer tie systems, but, just for the
record, if you tie properly---so that the halter snap is just off the ground
(1" or so, if I remember right) when it is tied to the trailer, the horse
can lie down. Mine did not for the first few rides, but after a two day
ride, he did.
