In response to Duane Barnett's post - It is probably true that the
majority of Western riders will not show up to a NC back East.  However,
if the ride was truly a coveted title, then you would probably see a
greater number of Western riders taking that long haul.

It will be interesting to see how it pans out if the NC is put on in the
West Coast.  I don't doubt that the ride may have been challenging, but
I'm sure that there are Western Region rides that are just as challenging
that are not a championship ride.
