    If I had a mind to try to breed to come up with an
    improvement on the Arab (if possible), this is
    probably the direction I'd go.
    
    Isn't that pretty much what an Orlov trotter is?
    
    Of course, that assumes that the best gait for
    long distances really is the trot, not the hand gallop.
    (But we just had that conversation... :-)
