Thanks for asking. Many people disagree with me, but I just don't want my
endurance horses ever thinking that 25 miles is a stopping point. They do
lots of 25 mile training rides and I feel I'm wasting my money paying for
that distance. Also, it's philosophical. It is partly my age and when I
started in the sport...no one did 25s, all there was to do was 50s and
lots of us started horses on 100s. Personally, I started two horses on
100s and they were great competitors with long careers. You didn't see as
many horses psycho at the start cause they knew it was going to be a very
long day. There is no right answer, though. Cindy
