There was also a 2-day 100 at
last month's Mustang Memorial 30 50/50 2-day 100 Endurance Ride in New Jersey --
not exactly SE, but within traveling distance. Total of 7 competed, 3
finished (1 rider having to pull because his horse escaped and disappeared
during the storm the previous evening and didn't show up again until late
afternoon the next day. Smart critter!)
The 2-day 100 was great
fun for this rider, especially since it all took place in the midst of a
nor'easter. (The story will be in the next issue of Endurance News)
It also gave those of us who are still fit and raring to go after completing a
50, but don't want to tackle a 1-day 100 (just yet), a chance to "taste"
what a 100 might feel like.
I'm now watching for more
2-day 100's to attend next year. And if I can manage to get myself in
"marathon running" shape, I'll even attempt the tough Ft. Valley 2-day
100. Now THAT'S a ride!!
