Re: [RC] Leg confirmation in High Mileage horses - Sally Ann
I am just starting a new Arabian mare into endurance. She is eight years old, has a previous track record, completed a 25m LD, and is cute as a button. I am absolutly in love with her personality. She is about 15-15.1h, with a very very sound, strong back and body. She has large good feet. Her only fault, though I won't tell her it is a fualt, is that she is toed-in with her front legs. Not too baddly, but just enough to notice if you look at her feet. She moves out like an absolute dream, has the largest killer trot and rocking chair canter. I want to continue with her conditioning and take her into 50s. She is great but I am a little worried about her being toed-in. Has anybody ever had any problems with this. My ferrier said that he does not think there will ever be a problem with it, but I am a worrier. Does anyone have a horse with similar attributes, and how has everything worked out? I am taking everything slow and easy.
