Were you moving at a faster pace? I found when I moved from doing almost
exclusively trotting to more cantering, that I was swinging my leg, which
caused abrasions. Several things helped - got a better pair of half chaps
(Ariat), worked more on my seat and balance, and being aware of leg position,
and ultimately, changing from my english style saddle to a ZES, and later to
the sport saddle.
