[RC] Then what IS essential for a newbie? - Sarah W
I appreciate the feedback on HRM from both Liz and
Deanna. I, myself, am new to the world of cometitive
distance riding and am looking for as much info as
possible. Not knowing any better, I was under the
assumption that a HRM was a "must have" for me to
train.
What are the opinions of training equipment deemed
essential?
My first task will be to purchase a saddle up for the
challenge, as my current saddle does not fit correctly
- does anyone have any opinions of the Wintec variety?
Is there any experience with the newer CAIR system
and how well the saddles hold up? Are there any
alternatives to Wintec that allow for differing sized
mounts at a similarly reasonable price?
I appreciate all responses. Thanks!

stuff on the trail... we hope!)
