My husband made a PVC corral back in about 1988. He used 2" PVC and I
thought did a real neat job. Within a couple of years the pipes got very
brittle. If you just dropped one they'd get breaks. Finally Kaboot
learned to just stick his nose under it and toss his head up to break the
panel.
All in all I do not recommend them. In order to make it stable we had to
beat a stake in the ground (not always easy) to slide them over to keep
the horses from pushing it around. I used about 1/2 a roll of duct tape
($$ adds up) to secure the thing together at every ride. It was bulky and
a pill to stack. It was not *that* cheap and did not last.
