Use the Leader bungies---- had them on my hot walker for three years---
they stretched out some (it can get over a hundred degrees in Paso
Robles) but I have NEVER had one break on me!

If you have a bungie lead, do use it
Be careful with the bungie leads!!!! They do give and I have used them,
but they are not perfect! I have had a weanling pulling on one break
the cord (and yes this was a bungie made for horses). The sun will
weaken them. Horses can break them...had a broodmare start pulling in
the trailer....she was ready to get OUT. The bungie broke here too.
Luckily no one was hurt. When the bungie broke with the weanling she
flipped backwards several times until she crashed into the horse
trailer. Luckily she only needed 8 stitches in her head to close the
gash. Otherwise she was OK...just very shaken. It took me 3 weeks
before she would even get close to the tie post again.
