Rope used for boating does stretch or
at least some of it does.
It needs the stretch when tied to a
dock ect.
The yacht braid we use for halters
and leads does not stretch more then 1% to 2%. It depends on what it is to be
used for on the boat .
I highline all the time and use the
5/8" poly feels like plastic rope for my high line and my tarp ropes. It is
cheap and easy to find. Lasts a few years.
I use tree huggers ( we sell a
set of 6 for $25US) and I carry a ladder so I can get high.
I braided a snap into one end of my
high line rope so it just snaps to the rings on the tree hugggers
When we camp we make tarp barns and
all kinds of neat stuff like shower stalls ect.
I use the Jack strap snap to hang hay
bags . Also works to lock in place for horses if I don't want them moving up and
down the line.
I have a HITIE system on my trailer
for rides. Just put it on makes sense because it is sooooo easy and quick when I
am only camping for a weekend.
I will contact my rope supplier and
get a discription of all tyopes of rope and post it in the future.
