     What did they say when you talked to them in person?
    Sometimes emails get lost in the "junk". 
     I apologize Cora. Your post just hit a nerve. I have been
    a subscriber since '99 and this past winter was the first
    time I have had any problems with TB. They were very
    apologetic and eager to rectify the "mess up" when I
    contacted them. So my experience with them has been good.
    Several have emailed me; all saying that TB's past history
    has not been that stellar. These are people whose opions i
    respect.
     Lets hope that this bad press is finally gonna be a thing
    of TB's past as this is truely a great magazine. 
     I would try talking to TB in person (again?) if I were you
    and try to work out a reasonable plan to compensate you for
    your two years of "lost" issues. You might be surprised.
