I have one of these, and after having the velcro come loose twice--both
times when my mare pulled back and both times the comming loose caused her
to flip, I put a panic snap on the end of it. I found these to be very
dangerous because of the velcro comming apart under stress.
At home, I just don't tie the horse, just wrap the rope around the tie rail.
I've found that not having something to pull against has helped her to
relax and quit pulling back. I use the Leader when I tie her to a trailer.
(Yes Howard, including all night at rides, I'm one of THOSE! :-)
That's what works for us.
