    I don't think this legislation is trying to get little
    farmers or deal with
    sow restrains early in nursing. Look at the pictures in
    those articles and
    check out the size of the operations that they're focusing
    on.
    
    These pens aren't just for sows with litters, they are used
    for all pigs
    from the time the litters are broken up until the animal
    goes to slaughter.
    The pens are VERY small, just inches larger than a standing
    pig.
    
    I won't eat meat raised that way... it can't be healthy for
    us either. I'd
    rather pay two or three times as much for field raised meat,
    and eat less of
    it.
