Ridecamp: [RC] HAWAIIAN ENDURANCE????

I need some help!  I have a screenplay which is centered around an endurance 
rider in the hands of an established Hollywood director  (would be very cool 
for our sport if this film actually gets made).  The script's original locale 
was Southern California though, and the film's backers are in Hawaii - and 
want the film made there!  I need to do a rewrite - and know nothing about 
Hawaii or the riding conditions, trails, etc. there.  Are there any riders 
from Hawaii on here?  Anyone who has ridden there?  I have a TON of 
questions.......
     Of course, I think the production should fly me there (and my family) 
for a week or two to ride and do research, but we haven't gotten to that 
point yet in our discussions....  LOL
     Please respond privately to me if you have any suggestions?
