To me this says it all. I blame whoever allows inexperienced horses and
riders to compete at this level! It's also the reason I've been so
adamant about raising the requirements on our national championship. Yes,
I have gotten on horses I've never ridden before and done 100 milers.
HOWEVER, I was an experienced 100 mile rider and the horse was an
experienced 100 mile horse. And, any owner I ever rode for told me to
rely on my experience to set the pace for the horse that day. Cindy
