[RC] Owyhee Lowlands update - Steph Teeter
Weather forecast looks good (see below). We might get lucky :)
So far we have 13 entries in the 100! From Utah and CA as well as the NW. I
have the trail all mapped out. Easy and boring, mostly dirt road and
2-track. All holds in camp. Longest loop is 20 mi, shortest is 15. A few
rocky spots and some rocky/gravelly sections of dirt road. Some sandy
sections, but mostly good footing. Should be easy night riding (boring
repeat trail), and no problem for the 50's to finish before dark. We'll have
a campfire going all night to keep crews and helpers warm.
I need some help with registration on Friday - any volunteers? Also, anybody
that can stick around on Sunday and take the 4-wheeler out to pull ribbons
would be greatly appreciated!
Also - the awards will be Sunday morning, with a potluck Breakfast. (should
be interesting...) I'll supply beverages - coffee, juice, hot chocolate and
some muffins.(who's bringing the bacon??)
