Thanks for all the responses about my symptoms post. I have decided to go ahead and pull Jenni from the ride. We are pretty new to the sport and I don't want to push him. I think it could be teeth...that is my number one idea, then someone mentioned ulcers. He doesn't seem like a nervous horse but are ulcers caused by nerves or bacteria (as they are in humans) in horses? Anyway...I think it may be a pain issue that is causing stress thereby causing him not to eat. He reared in the trailer the other day which is NOT like him...then he just sulked. (An Icey can rear in a trailer and not come close to hitting its head <g>.
Thanks again all....I knew you guys would understand my "gut feelings" that something is wrong. I think that is what sets us apart from other horse folk...we just know when something isn't right.
