[RC] Accident on way to Oroville - InlineMom3

We were involved in an accident on the way to the Orovile ride yesterday.  I'm not sure how many angels one truck is allowed to have but I'm sure we had at least 2.  One for us and one for Blue.  Some idiot decided to stop and turn around, on hwy. 65.  Unfortunately, a fully loaded truck complete with camper and trailer just does not STOP!  The trailer did a 360 barrelroll, swung the truck off the road and landed behind on its wheels!  After we stopped moving I ran out to check on Blue and I couldn't find him!  He was thrown out the back and I found him in the middle of a field.  He was scraped up and had lots of bruises but in good shape.  I didn't believe the trailer actually did a 360 until I say the hoof prints on the roof!  The roof of the tack compartment is gone and the front has a huge dent.  We think the only thing that kept the top from crushing is the bent sup port bars from the slant tack room.  The truck and camper don't look as if there is a scratch!  Everything in the tack room is topsy-turvy, but only a few things broke.  The is lots of dirt and rocks in there also.  I still can't believe Blue looks as good as he does.  I had my Dad come pick Blue and I up and take us to the vet while the tow truck came and got the truck and trailer out. The vet can't even believe he looks as good as he does!  A few stitches, bute and time off and he will be as good gold.  We had 3 witnesses stop and give reports to the CHP and said it was not our fault.  The CHP said my husband's quick thinking and good driving probly saved a few lives.  I am soo thankful he was driving.  I don't think I could have done what he did.  So no more rides for me this year but I have one Awesome and Lucky horse.  Oh yea, the guy that caused all this, he flipped a U-turn and hightailed it.  Its probly just as well, because my husband would love to get his ha nds on him.  So, go hug you family and your horse, I know I can't stop doing that today.  Dannan and Blue
