That's funny, cause I'm kind of peeking in over my kid's shoulder to see what's going on with the Junior site also. My kid won't let me really read any of them, but from what she's telling me they seem to be more conservative than the adults as far as the age thing goes, which kind of cracks me up. Maybe, I should switch over there, since I have yet to really grow up, but, I'm sure they'd kick me off when they found out my age. I wonder if my kid has posted any stories on there yet? lol. cya, Howard (who truly believes endurance, for folks my age, is actually the search for our "lost youth") ----- Original Message ----- From: Rides 2 Far Sent: Thursday, October 31, 2002 6:36 PM To: EgyptianMirage@xxxxxx Cc: kadence@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [RC] ] Youth Ginger Said: > So, maybe children riding endurance isn't about competing ..

She was riding alone by 3, & entered her first 15 mi. competition at 4, a 50 at 5 & won several that year,
Angie Said: And then again, maybe it is. >eg< I can't say I've won a lot of races, but I've won a couple, and top fived quite a few. There's a world of difference in the risks I felt I had to take to make the difference between 3rd and 1st.
Noticed over my daughter's shoulder that this thread is up on the junior list right now. Will be interesting to see what they conclude.
