[RC] older endurance horses and feed - Beth Gunn

I am loving these posts of 20 year olds competeing so well in endurance rides.  I ride my DeeDee who is 16 and hope to do 100s before she "retires".  I have owned her since she was weaned and riding endurance is all I want to do.
Any one who is riding older horses who have any tips on feeding would be greatly appreciated.  I am reading the book Keeping Your Older Horse Young and it has raised some questions regarding feeding.  Suggestions are similar to Susan G.s recommedations to feeding my 2 and 3 yr old youngsters.
She is in good shape, holds weight well, and no hoof probs at all.  I am thinking of supps antioxidants, digest aids, vit c, vit e, etc.
This is too cool that we can take such good care of our best equine friends and continue competing until God calls them home:)
    Thanks
    Beth Gunn
