Maybe he was competitive and enjoyed the attention of he received for
getting a really young protege' started.
I once made the comment to some friends that I am not overly competitive.
They pretty much collapsed laughing, saying "Yeah RIGHT!" I honestly
didn't think I was, but since that day I've looked at myself a little
more realistically.
I just got back from church where my Sunday school teacher never got to
give the lesson because I started a debate about whether or not they
*should* keep score in the little kid's basketball league. (I'm in favor
by the time they're 7)
I am competitive. Therefore I tend to be suspicious that others are too.
I cannot imagine that the motivation isn't to have the "first and the
youngest" out there. >auctioneer voice< We've got a five year old, five
year old, five year old, will somebody give me a FOUR?
