Ridecamp: [RC] looking for hubby horse near Houston

I am looking for the ever elusive husband horse.  Prefer gelding around 16
hands(husband is 6'3") and around 10 years, looking for the been there done
that type that is not spooky, with no buck or bite to take care of beginner
rider husband on trail, lazy ok,   Would also love to be able to give our
small children rides around the neighborhood.  Husband just wants to ride
slowly and enjoy the scenery, not looking for a competition horse, he would
like to ride drag at the CTRs and endurance rides I compete in so horse
should be confident enough to separate from group and double, pony ect.
Hoping to stay around $2000 and within a few hours of Houston, TX.  Thanks
