Phil Yes they do help I made a do it myself exhaust brake it uses the
Ford PSD Exhaust bypass value.. its the same thing that the
commercial kits use - that is the electronic models.. only better
setup is the ones that take out the Ford valve and install their own..
too costly and have been reported to cause problems.
Using the EBV on the truck you only get about 60% closure --it works
well I can really help the rig to stop without laying on the brakes.
BUT its still over loaded and running out of the safe range..
Just need a bigger truck
