[RC] Light sticks: - dpwg
Thanks everybody!
I was the original poster. I was thinking of doing a 100.
Opted not to as this was my geldings first ride over 30 miles long
in competition. We went the 50. I am glad as it rained during the
night and it made the trails very muddy and slippery on what
wet grass we did have. My horse was a relaxed tired at the end.
Drinking very well during the first loop and eating very well during the
2nd and 3rd loops. Ate like a trooper back in camp too. That was my main
goal. He definitely needs more
conditioning and now that we have done some night riding I plan on doing
some
of that at night.
At this ride the manager put up glow sticks the day before. Only thing
needed was to activate them.
On a further note: I have reflective markers that I make that I would
like someone to test on a 100.
They are yellow plastic dinner plates ( can be made with white if you
would like) and the reflective
tape that the trailer sales people use. I make arrows on them. They could
be used with the glow sticks
or by them selves. They have holes in them so that you could hang them
or you can staple them to a tree.
They show up with minimal light. Would anyone be interested in trialing
these?
