[RC] yawning?? - Kelly
I moved my 14 yr. old arab gelding to a new barn
about 2 weeks ago. There is only one other horse
there, but it has a wonderful 30 acre pasture,
and a shelter where they can come and go as they
please. There is fresh water available in many
areas of the pasture at all times, and the water
comes from a well. I noticed that the other horse
yawned an awful lot the day I moved my horse out
there, but didn't really think anything of it.
Now my horse has started yawning! He's never done
this so much before. He mostly starts yawning
after a ride. I was wondering if maybe this could
be a learned behavior from the other horse, or
possibly something in the new environment?? If
it's something in the pasture, what are some
possible things I could check? Could there be
something in the water? Or a strange plant? Thank
you in andvance for any ideas you may have..
..we recently lost our old gelding..and I'm a
little paranoid now about my boy..I just want to
wrap him up in bubble wrap! ..this may not be
anything at all, but I don't want to ignore it
and have it bite me in the butt later on!
