?I remember once we crossed a little dry creek ... I didn't
see it coming, of course, he just sort of dropped out from under me
and came up under me again on the far side?
LOL! I know just what you mean! At the 20 Mule Team 100 when you come up
over the ridge and are riding down towards Ridgecrest, the lights from the
city completely blind you. I just hand the command over to Flikka and away
we go! The trail is not straight so you just kind of hang loose in the
saddle and hope you do not do a zig when she is doing a zag! It is way
fun! Have to watch Flikka though she knows the fastest way home which
is not always the correct way?
Hey, I want some credit for pulling those all nighters too! I have done my
fair share of looooog 100s too! I have crossed that finish line anywhere
from 5:00 pm to 4:00 am? I love riding in the dark. The desert is
especially beautiful in the dark. I have found that the horse seem to perk
up a bit in the dark. Anyone else notice that or am I just justifying
keeping my horse up all night here?
