RE: [RC] Newbie - Snodgrass, Bonnie
I believe Sandy meant she could drive 60-90 min to get to someones farm to
ride, as in training/conditioning rides.
Sandy, I would simply send posts to all your local trail riding and Arabian
clubs/organizations. ECTRA has a yahoo group list that you could join and
post to. I would suggest just trying to find someplace to trail ride at
first, then work your way up from there. You will need time in the saddle
out on trails preferably with people that do more than just walk. You can
volunteer at rides in PA, NJ, MD. Contact the ride managers. There is a ride
in NJ 11/16-11/17. Find the ride managers name on the AERC ride calender
page and contact them. Be prepared to camp out. You will meet people and
make contacts.

I'm headed to the Fort valley rides in Va. next week..... twenty hour drive,
no trailer.
Vermont is a 13 hour haul.... pine tree in Me. is 9 Hours Etc
The only ride less than three hours is one we hold.
Good luck, We envy those who have close rides.

Forgot to mention that I am willing to drive an hour to an hour and a half
to get to a riding location. Sorry. Can't provide miles. Driving around here
in the Megalopolis is a tricky proposition. Best estimate is 35 miles.
