    [RC] Newbie Advice - Franciscus22

    I am a 49 yr. old novice rider. I haven't done any trail riding with mentioning. My dream is to celebrate my 50th next year by doing a 50 (well, maybe a 25 or two 25s in one weekend). Is this possible, or am I kidding myself? Where do I need to be in my riding skills before I try and go out there? What is the best way to leanr to do this: hunter-jumper, dressage, Western? All advice appreciated.
