Here's my experience -- and Karl, the developer of the DM vent pad, agrees.
If you do long rides in hot and humid weather, at competition speed, you
will occasionally still need to wash your saddle pad.  Since my Skito pad
takes a long time to dry, I just do that a few times during the summer when
I know I won't need to use it for a couple of days.  That's a whole lot
better than needing to wash my Skito after every ride in heat and humidity.
