Re: [RC] [RC] Barefoot - Deanna German
Deb,
I don't think the Strasser barefooters are trying to avoid farrier bills. At
least one Strasser farrier I'm aware of (she does a horse in our barn)
charges $50 for a trim!! (Is she paying for a brand name franchise????) I
personally think that's highway robbery, but they gotta get something for
all of that paring and paring.... As a comparison for prices in these parts,
my farrier charges $20 for a barefoot trim. Yes, a barefoot trim. Imagine
that, a non-Strasser farrier doing a barefoot trim. Huh, who woulda thunk?
Deanna
(my farrier also puts shoes on my horse when she needs them)
