Amen! I think barefoot is acceptable in some horses on some trails - but
like most arguments, people get fixated on the idea that their way is the
ONLY way! The other viewpoint is not only wrong, it is evil, mean, abusive,
despicable, and damned inhuman! I would hate to see one of the "barefoot"
believers come here to the hot, rocky high desert I ride in and ride their
horse barefoot...or better yet, ground-walk your horse barefoot - with you
walking barefoot beside it! :o) I've ridden in Florida on barefoot horses
though - on lovely light sand paths. Ditto in Kentucky on beautiful grass
and dirt trails without a trace of rock. Sometimes shoes are not necessary.
Sometimes they are a blessing. Can't we all just get along? :o)
